Joseph Brown Vats are based in the attractive historic village of Dufftown in Grampian, set deep in the rolling green foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains in the north east of Scotland.
Occupying the very heart of distillery country, and home to such world famous Scotch malts as Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Glendullan, Dufftown is the chief highlight of the 'Whisky Trail', a tourist route travelled annually by thousands of visitors from every corner of the world.
Originally established in the early 1920's, the firm of Joseph Brown & Sons provided general cooperage services to the distilling, chemical, test and tank industries.
Later becoming a subsidiary and more recently a wholly separate company, Joseph Brown Vats now specialise in the building, supplying and installing of purpose-built wooden vats and tanks. We also repair and maintain original vessels for companies across the whole of the UK and abroad.
